ScoreAid Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 September 2026
ScoreAid is a card and dice game scorekeeper published by RedMont Labs, LLC of Lakeland, Florida. This policy explains what the app stores, what leaves your device, and how to remove it. It covers ScoreAid for iPhone and iPad, published until September 2026 under the name GameSlate.
The short version. ScoreAid has no accounts and no sign-in. Every player name, score, saved setup, and in-progress game stays on your device, and RedMont Labs never receives any of it. The one thing that leaves your device is the advertising request: the free version shows a banner ad served by Google AdMob, and Google receives the technical information described below in order to serve it. A one-time $4.99 purchase removes the banner, after which the app makes no advertising requests at all. There is no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no third-party tracking beyond the ad network.
1. Information RedMont Labs collects
None. ScoreAid does not ask you to create an account, does not ask for your name or email address, and has no server of its own. We operate no database of ScoreAid users, and we cannot identify you or see anything you enter into the app.
If you email us for support, we receive whatever you choose to put in that email. We use it to answer you and nothing else.
2. Information stored on your device
ScoreAid saves the following to your device's local application storage so the app is useful between launches. It is not transmitted anywhere.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Player names and scores for games in progress (up to five) | So a game survives closing the app and can be resumed later |
| Saved quick setups — a game and its usual group of players | So a regular game can be started in one tap |
| Custom games you define | So your own scoring rules are there next time |
| Your Player Deck — the names of the people you play with, and an optional last name to tell two of them apart | So a regular group can be filled in without typing the same names every time |
| A record of each finished game: the game, the date, the players, their scores, and who won | So the stats page can show win records, streaks, and averages |
| Appearance setting (light or dark), and the sound chosen for the round timer | So the app opens the way you left it |
| Whether ads have been removed on this device | So the app knows not to request ads |
Player names are whatever you type. They can be nicknames or initials, and the app has no use for a real name. Game history and stats are computed on the device from the records above; nothing is uploaded, and no copy is kept anywhere else. All of it is removed when you delete ScoreAid from your device.
3. Advertising
The free version of ScoreAid displays a single banner advertisement at the bottom of the screen, served by Google AdMob. To fill that banner, Google's advertising SDK collects information directly from your device, including:
- your device's advertising identifier and other device identifiers;
- your IP address, and an approximate location derived from it;
- device and app information such as device model, operating system version, language, and the app the ad appeared in;
- ad interaction data, such as whether an ad was shown, viewed, or tapped.
Google processes this as an independent controller of that data. Its handling is described in the Google Privacy Policy, and the companies Google may share it with are listed in Google's advertising partner information. RedMont Labs receives only aggregate, non-identifying performance figures from AdMob — impressions and revenue — never information about an individual user.
Your choices about advertising
- Remove ads entirely. A one-time $4.99 purchase removes the banner. Once it is active, ScoreAid makes no ad requests, and the advertising SDK is not asked for anything.
- Consent, in Europe. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, ScoreAid shows Google's User Messaging Platform consent form before any ad is requested, and your choice governs whether ads are personalized. You can change it at any time from Settings → Privacy options inside the app.
- Device-level controls. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID under Settings → Privacy → Ads. On iOS you can turn off Allow Apps to Request to Track under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
ScoreAid does not currently ask for permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, and so does not use the iOS advertising identifier to track you across other companies' apps and websites. If that ever changes, iOS will ask you first, and this policy will be updated before it does.
4. Purchases
The $4.99 "Remove Ads" purchase is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple or Google, depending on where you downloaded the app. Payment happens inside the store's own flow. RedMont Labs never sees your payment card, billing address, or store account details — only the confirmation that a purchase was made, which the app records on your device.
Because the purchase is tied to your App Store or Google Play account, you can restore it on a new device from Settings inside the app. Apple's and Google's handling of the transaction is governed by their own privacy policies.
5. What ScoreAid does not do
- No accounts, logins, or profiles.
- No analytics or usage-tracking SDK.
- No crash-reporting or telemetry SDK.
- No contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise location access. ScoreAid requests none of these permissions.
- No selling or sharing of personal information with data brokers.
- No email lists, newsletters, or push notifications.
6. Children
ScoreAid is a general-audience app for scoring card and dice games. It is not directed to children under 13, and RedMont Labs does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app collects nothing itself, the relevant consideration is advertising: if ScoreAid is on a device used by a child, we recommend the one-time purchase that removes ads, or the platform's own parental controls. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will assist.
7. Your rights
Because RedMont Labs holds no personal information about ScoreAid users, there is nothing for us to look up, export, correct, or delete on request — deleting the app removes everything it stored. Rights of access, correction, deletion, and objection under the GDPR, UK GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA, and comparable laws are exercised as to advertising data directly with Google, using the links in section 3.
California and other US states. RedMont Labs does not sell personal information for money, and receives nothing identifiable about you. However, when personalized ads are served, the advertising identifiers described in section 3 are disclosed to Google and its advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising — which California law treats as "sharing," and some other state laws as "targeted advertising." You can opt out of it in any of three ways: the one-time purchase that removes ads entirely, your device's "limit ad tracking" or advertising-ID reset controls, or Google's own Ads Settings. We do not knowingly disclose the personal information of anyone under 16 for these purposes.
If you would like confirmation of any of this in writing, or help with a request, email us at the address below and we will respond.
8. Data security and retention
ScoreAid's data lives in your device's own application storage, protected by your device's operating system and whatever passcode or biometric lock you have set. We retain nothing, because we receive nothing. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve the question.
9. Changes to this policy
If ScoreAid's data practices change — for example, if a feature is added that sends information off the device — this page will be updated and the "last updated" date at the top changed before the new version ships. Material changes will also be described in the app's release notes.
